Mark is a construction, real estate and business attorney – he uses his engineering experience to counsel clients in a variety of industries on all aspects of their business.

Clients rely on Mark in complex commercial disputes and transactions. He regularly tries cases before state and federal courts and arbitral panels, and represents buyers, sellers and lenders in commercial real estate transactions, financings and developments.

Mark was a 2016 recipient of the Business Council of Westchester’s “40 under 40” Rising Star award. Before forming Cermele & Wood LLP and its predecessor, The Cermele Law Firm PLLC, he practiced at several regional law firms. Mark received a bachelor’s of science in mechanical engineering from Tufts University in 1999, and graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2004.

Representative Matters:
  • Representation of a Westchester day school in the ground-up design, development and construction of $25 million athletic and arts facility, including negotiation and administration of design team and construction agreements and financing package.
  • Representation of major Bronx landlord in connection with leasing of approximately 100,000 square feet of Class A commercial office space.
  • Representation of regional developer in the acquisition, rezoning and development of a major Westchester County commercial office property.
